Barefoot Archers JOAD & Youth Archery Programs

Class Information

Hello Summertime!! 
We are outside at Mecklenburg Wildlife Club for the summer.
Classes start June 27th then we skip the 4th of July weekend. 
We will resume classes the following Saturday.

Our Spring session was alot of fun but it has come to an end. 

The Summer session of youth archery classes for Barefoot Archery is underway at Mecklenburg Wildlife Club.

The Cub & Rec. classes are together @ 10:00 for one hour. 

JOAD is at 11:30pm for an hour and a half.  JOAD students please remember your journals and stretch bands for class each week.

While at the outdoor range please remember the following:  No open-toed shoes, water, bug spray, sunscreen, chairs and of course our Cook-out at the end of the session.

Our Fall session will start September 11th and we will move back to the indoor range at Barefoot.  Look for more news later.

I would also like to say "Congratulations" to my group of home-schoolers for a great session.  Hope to see you in class next year.

Archery Indoors or Outside - A Great Sport!

Archery gets kids outside enjoying fresh air, sunshine and alittle exercise as well.  Learn Archery; it's a family sport, it's a lifetime sport, it's a good for you sport and it's just plain fun!

ASAP - After School Archery Program.  This program is being sponsored thru NFAA and NADA.  ASAP was developed for Parks & Recs. Depts, High Schools and other youth organizations.  The program teaches safety & safely shooting, the basics with form development.  An awards recognition program is included.  If interested contact the NC ASAP coordinator Sandi Scronce at 704-882-6785 or at Bowcoaches@aol.com.

Start an ASAP Club to give children a place to go after school to have fun and enjoy a very rewarding sport, year round, indoors or out.

We can help you with training, demos, equipment selection and start/set-up.

This year, we are happy to add that we are now offering home-school field trip type days to help increase interest in archery programs.  We have had lots of inquiries and several very successful trips on location and at Barefoot Archery.  Let us know if you are interested in hosting a field trip type day event or a longer summer camp type program.  Fees are reasonable.

Novelity Targets at Davidson

Balloons are so much fun!!  Everybody loves popping the 'em!

We can set-up targets at your location inside or outdoors.  We can set-up regular mulit-colored targets, 3-spot Vegas targets, 3-D targets, novelity targets and any other fun and safe targets.  Then there are balloons!  We can supply balloons at any shoot.  We can even have floating balloons.  We have had special request for things like flaming arrows for ceremonies.  Let us know what what you have in mind, if we can do it safely and have fun with it - We will do it!
